Shirley Ann Pierce Trammell, age 69 of Big Flat, Arkansas passed away October 15, 2016 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville, AR.
Shirley was born February 5, 1947, in Mountain View, Arkansas to Payton and Verla (George) Pierce. She was the baby of 10 children.
Shirley was a loving and full of life lady. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved fishing, hunting and loved riding her 4 wheeler over the farm. She loved an occasional jeep ride with her son-in-law Eddie & Pastor Darin through the forest. Shirley was a member of the Big Flat Assembly of God. She worked as a cook for the last 25 years. She was one of the best cooks in Stone County. She got the name Ms. T working at Anglers. This was one of her favorite work places. She often told stories about working down on the river. She retired from the Big Flat Senior Center last October after being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Sandi & Eddie White of Big Flat, AR, and Tammy & Kenny Green of Mountain View, AR. One grandson, Cass White and wife Sara of Big Flat, AR, and two granddaughters, Toni (White) Parsons & husband Dylan of Big Flat, AR, and Niki Green of Mountain View, AR. One great-grandson, (her pride and joy), Brennan Wayne Parsons. One brother Eugene and Betty Pierce of Liberty, MO, two sisters, Beulah & AJ Trammell of Vancouver, WA & Eleanor & Carson Finch of Mountain View, AR and sister-in-law Hazel Pierce of Smithville, AR, and ex-husband and friend Junior Wynn of Big Flat.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Dewell Pierce, three sisters, Eulah Wilcox, Hazel Sullivan & Nova Buckley, & two infant brothers, Payton and Paxton.
A visitation will take place on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas from 6:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, 10:00AM at Big Flat Assembly of God Church in Big Flat, Arkansas with Brother Darin Holliman officiating. Interment will be at Pordue Cemetery in Onia, Arkansas following the services.
Pallbearers are Cass White, Jeremiah Lancaster, Darin Holliman, Dylan Parsons, Cole White, and Nathan Winkle.
Roller Coffman Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
