Setha Wilson

of Harriet, AR

April 29, 1932 - February 1, 2016

Setha Wilson, 83, of Harriet departed this life on Monday, February 1, 2016, at Mountain View, AR. He was born April 29, 1932 in Sano, KY to the late Roe and Emma (Rooks) Wilson. Setha was a Christian and had made a public profession of his faith in Christ.
He made a life as a logger and was never more at home than in the hills and hollers of the Ozarks. Hunting, fishing, trapping and digging ginseng were both a beloved pastime and a way of providing for his family. Setha believed that hard work was the measure of a man, and, to many, he was the scale to be measured against.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Flocie Lucille George, and a son, Roger Dale Wilson of Harriet. Other survivors include a brother, Herbert Wilson of Marshall; grandsons, Dale (Rebecca) Wilson of Onia, Michael Wilson of Floral, Kevin Branscum, Ronnie Branscum, Kenny Branscum all of Little Rock and a granddaughter Teri Griffith of Little Rock. Eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. And a host of other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Earl Wilson, and a step-son Hoyt Branscum.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View with Brother L.J. Treat officiating. Burial is in Big Flat Cemetery in Big Flat. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 3, from 6-8 p.m.

Pallbearers are Roger Massey, Kevin Cartwright, Tony Hudspeth, Darrell Ramsey, Jeff Ramsey, and Lesil Morrison.

Honorary pallbearers are Steve McCoy, Floyd Wynn, JR., Horace Hudspeth, Donald Cartwright, Roger Ramsey, Herbert Wilson, Carlos Lawrence and Troy Dale Morrow.
