Margaret Canard, 81 of Mountain View passed away July 3, 2015 in Batesville, AR. She was born on May 18, 1934 in Dexter, Texas to Faye and Gladys Clark. She was a member of the St. James United Methodist church and a cook at the nursing home for many years. She loved her family and friends, the Razorbacks, and Nascar racing. She liked to drink Dr. Pepper and ice tea. She enjoyed shopping at Wal-Mart, talking on the phone, driving her car, cooking, flowers, and sitting on her back porch watching nature. She enjoyed Billy Graham, Loretta Lynn, and Princess Diana.

Margaret is survived by her children: Michael Canard, Ricky Canard, and Kathy Moore; one sister: Paulette Saunders ; nine grandchildren: Russell Lancaster, Chris Lancaster, Jason Price, Jessica Moore, Tiffany Canard Avey, Kelsey Canard, Jody Baldridge, Whitney Carey, and Autumn Canard; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; Faye and Gladys Clark; her husband Thurlo Canard; two brothers, William (Billy) Clark, and Cecil (Pete) Clark; Two sisters, Anna (Tootie) Webb, and Francis Taylor; and one grandson, Christopher Canard.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 6th at St. James United Methodist Church, St. James, AR. Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Mt. Joy Cemetery with Brother Junior Barham officiating.
Pallbearers are Russ Lancaster, Chris Lancaster, Jason Price, Jerry Lancaster, Justin Lancaster, and Terry Younger.
