Pamela Sutterfield

of Fox, AR

July 12, 1964 - December 9, 2014

Pamela Ann (Johnson) Sutterfield, age 50, departed on her heavenly journey Tuesday, December 9, 2014. She fought a long and hard courageous battle with cancer and the the complications that come with it. She spent her last few days at Stone County Medical Center in Mountain View under the amazing care of Dr. Zini and a group of some of the finest nurses in Arkansas. Dr. Zini and the staff made it possible for Pam to spend her last days home surrounded by friends and loved ones. She was so glad and happy to be home after more than three months in different Little Rock hospitals.
Pam was born July 12, 1964 to Henry and Wilma Johnson in Wood River, Illinois. Later, they moved to Fox, Arkansas where she attended and graduated from Rural Special High School. She then married Michael Sutterfield and they would have been married 29 years this December. She and Michael loved doing everything together from work to hunting and fishing. Although they did not have children they did have many hobbies they shared with a passion. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Wilma Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Michael; two half-brothers, Henry Jr. and Daniel Johnson both of Illinois; sister-in-law, Marilyn and husband Larry Seaton; nephews, Joey and wife Alison Parks, Adam and wife Laura Parks; nieces, Jill and husband Rodney Brewer and Destiny and husband Randy Roth; great-niece, Allie Brewer; great-nephews, Levi and Edmond Parks and many many other wonderful family members and friends. Pam loved life to the fullest and brought happiness and joy to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, from 6-9PM at Fox Assembly of God in Fox, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2014, 2:00PM at Fox Assembly of God with Brother Marvin Sutterfield and Brother Stan Sutterfield officiating. Interment will be at Fox Cemetery in Fox, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Randy Roth, Louie Roth, Adam Parks, Joey Parks, Tyler Jorgenson, and Rodney Brewer. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Seaton, Kerry Perry, Steve Watson, and Ronnie Callahan.

I am so sorry we lost our Pam way too young. While I am sad for us I am happy for her. She is no longer suffering and she has earned a wonderful life in heaven. We will miss her smile and easy laughter. My heart goes out to Mike and the whole family. I’m so proud of you Mike. You’ve been an amazing husband for 29 years and I can certainly see why she loved you so much. You were there for her through this very long struggle and you never faltered no matter how tired you were. Our prayer is that you will rest now and then pick up your life and move forward. Pam would want and expect nothing less than your complete happiness. May God’s peace be with you now. Good bye my sweet cousin Pam. We love you.

Aunt Pam,
You were always like a second mother to me. You taught me how to be a fighter, how to stand up for what I believe in and how to follow The Lord. You were the most amazingly determined person I have ever seen! Through all of your battles and all the struggles you never shed a tear. I pray to one day be as half as strong as you were. You taught me how to be a good wife... Uncle Mike was so proud of you... I know we will all miss you each and everyday... It's hard to not see you come barging through the door for a big hug and yelling Dezzie!!... I know this Christmas will be a sad one but I also know you are now in a better place.. I can only imagine! we shall meet again aunt Pam and when we do it will be a glorious day! I love you always!!

We are so sorry about Pam. We are praying for Mike and all who loved her. I haven't seen Pam much through the last years except at family reunions. I still remember the cute little girl celebrating her birthday with her Aunt Pearl. They had the same birthday. Pam is one of the most precious people I have known. She had a smile that made you smile when you were around her. I loved her dearly and she will be missed very much. Mike, may God grant you His peace.

Mike,
Although you don't know me, you do know my family that lives at Fox (Wilma & Raphael Allen and Ted & Sue Allen plus others). I have prayed for Pam throughout this battle, I can't tell you I know it's hard to lose your spouse and I pray God never lets me find out, but one thing I will say is you know she is not suffering anymore. She is pain free, walking on streets of gold with her Lord & Savior, and Mike she's waiting for you to join her when God says it's your time. I am so HAPPY my mom got to visit with Pam for a little bit on Thursday, she had been wanting to visit her for quite sometime, she loves all of you. I will continue to pray for y'all, but you just ask The Lord to wrap you in His loving arms, He is where your strength comes from and He will help you through those rough days. God Bless You All
