JD Smith, 85 of Mountain View passed away June 17, 2014. He was born February 17, 1929 to Harvey Austin and Zola Inez (Sutterfield) Smith at Big Flat, Arkansas. He was a farmer, sawmill worker, and a bus driver. He attended the Evangelistic Center of Mountain View.

He is survived by his wife, Zola Orene (Beach) Smith, four sons, Larry Smith and wife Janice, Tim Smith and wife Wendy, Rodney Smith and wife Davida, and Roger Smith and wife Becky, six brothers, Clarence, Clyde, Hershel, Johnny Wayne, Gary, and Don Smith, five sisters, Lavone Fowler, Lavola Ann Fryman, Leona Smith, Lona Faye Lancaster, and Hazel Cranfill, twelve grandchildren, Stacy Smith, Elizabeth Smith, Kasie Linville, Lacey Pickle, Timothy Joel, Jessie, Dakota, Jacob, Dustin, Marcus, Ethan, and Natalie, and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Zola (Sutterfield), one daughter, Helen Smith, seven brothers, Earl Pate, LC, Lee, Harold, Carroll, Harry James, and Keith Smith, one sister, Laverne, and two great-grandchildren, Brittany Smith, and Jordan Day.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Friday, June 20, 2014 at Roller Coffman Chapel with Brother Tommy Williams and Brother Jack Robinson officiating. Interment will be at Levisy Flat Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jesse Smith, Kota Smith, Dustin Smith, Arthur Beach, Don Smith, and Johnny Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Clyde Smith, Buster Beach, Robert Beach, Clarence Smith, Hershal Smith, and Gary Smith. Roller Coffman funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
