Carl Elwood Brown Sr., age 89 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, February 25th, 2018 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born in Easton, Pennsylvania on September 15th, 1928 to Charles James Brown Sr. and Mildred Schlough Brown.

Carl was a veteran of the United States Army. He married Jane C. Seip in 1952 and to this union was born ten children. Carl worked for 38 years as a lineman for New Jersey Power and Light. He was a huge fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles and was very excited to see the Eagles win the Super Bowl. Carl was an avid bowler in his younger years and he enjoyed playing pinochle and working crossword puzzles. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family who he loved dearly.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Jane Brown of the home; five sons, Carl Brown Jr. of Easton, PA, Clayton (Tracey) Brown of Cromwell, CT, Craig (Pam) Brown of Tobyhanna, PA, Clarence (Tammy) Brown of Phillipsburg, NJ and Clark Brown Sr. of Marshall; five daughters, Sharon (Ralph) Heater of Concord, VA, Susan (Alex) DiPaola of Kunkletown, PA, Sheila Brown of Alpena, MI, Sandy Brown of Easton, PA and Sherri (John) Payonk of Nazareth, PA; thirty-two grandchildren; sixty-two great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and one on the way; and one sister, Christine (Martin) Sonn.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Audrey Steible, Katherine Picone, Doris Washburn, Frederick Brown and Charles Brown.

Arrangements are by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas. All services will be private.
