Ronald Cleve Gillispie, age 68 of Marshall, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, July 26th, 2016 at his home. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 27th, 1947 to Cleve Wilbur Gillispie and Beverly (Love) Gillispie.
Ron was most known for his love of photography. If your picture ever made it into the Mountain Wave there was a good chance that Ron was the one who took the photo.
Ron is survived by two sons, Andrew Gillispie of Russellville and Michael Gillispie of California. They would like to express their appreciation to those of Searcy County who were a part of Ron's life but at this time per Ron's wishes there will be no service. A memorial service may be organized at a later date.

Ron lived his life as want thru his eye and a lens. You can not see pictures or a photos in the Marshall Mountain Wave with out thinking you are looking at them thru his eye & lens. He had a real eye for catching the total package of what was going on. With respect and great gratitude for what he shared thru his eye and lens with Searcy County and the residents of Marshall. Thank you Ron.

Ron was a fixture throughout Searcy County as he covered the news and events. Ron was a well-liked man and a friend to many of us and a help to us in the chamber of commerce. His memory and photos live on! He will be greatly missed! We wish his family and friends God’s comfort.
