When my husband and I went to visit Katie in May 2015, we initially were on a trip to find my Grandfather Lyle "Doc" Moffit's grave and last residence in Marshall, AK. Seeing that Katie, his second wife, was still alive- we went to visit her at the Highland Court Rehabilitation Center. We were so hoping that her step-daughter (my mother) Ceci (Moffit) Marlow would be able to visit while Katie was still in good health, and are saddened to learn of her recent death.

We sincerely appreciate all of those who cared for her at Highland Rehabilitation, as her surviving step-children had lost contact once their father Lyle had passed. Thank you to the community of Marshall, AK for honoring her with a lovely obituary, funeral service, and for creating a place for her and Lyle to rest in peace together.

Katie was a great woman who was always thoughtful and quick witted. We spent many hours playing High Nine with her, my mom (Estalee), my aunt (Denvalee) and let me tell you, they played for blood! So much fun. I also played the video game, Joust, which she loved with her several times. She also loved music, especially good ole classic country. We recently shared a love of the music of Josh Groban. These past few years, when I would see her at Highland Court she always knew who I was and would say "Hello, Kel". She was loved and will be greatly missed.
