Jean Muriel (Krueger) Watts, age 76 of Harriet, Arkansas passed from this life on Wednesday, May 6th, 2015 at her home. She was born on Flag Day, June 14th, 1938, the 2nd of a set of twin girls, at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. The daughter of Martin August Krueger and Frieda Anne (Peters) Krueger, she was the youngest of eight children.

Jean grew up in Oak Forest, Illinois where she graduated from Bremen High School in the Class of 1956. After graduation, she worked at the Oak Forest Diner, Prudential Insurance and at Woolworths. At Woolworths she worked the lunch counter. This is where she met the love of her life, Paul Watts, Sr. They wed on May 11th, 1957. To this union, three children were born: Paul Leroy Jr, Deborah Lynn and Richard Alan Sr. The family lived in Frankfort, Illinois until March of 1976, at which point they moved to Harriet, Arkansas. In Harriet, Jean became famous for her cooking while running ''The Country Diner.'' She kept the diner open until the early 90's when she decided to retire once and for all. She enjoyed spending her retirement being with her family and planting flowers all around her house. She was famous for her food, but most importantly, her chocolate chip cookies and her cole slaw. Jean enjoyed visiting and making fabric flowers with her friend, Ethel Autry. She was raised in the Methodist church where she excelled in her Sunday school classes. Of recent years, she has been a member of the Rock Creek Assembly of God Church.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; their eldest son, Paul L. Watts Jr.; brothers, Willis ''Bud'' Krueger and Donald Krueger Sr.; sister, Margaret Burns; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maxine Krueger, Alice Krueger, Dorothy Krueger, Charles Dewar, Bill Kunkel and John Burns.

Survivors include daughter, Debbie Loggins and husband Randy of Marshall; son, Rich Watts and wife Shawn of Rockwall, TX; six grandchildren, Jessica (John) Reed-Schmid of Hot Springs, Andrew (Lindsey) Apple of St. Joe, Brittan (Brent) Cooper of Paris, TX, Alan Watts of Denton, TX, Taylor Loggins and Lauren Loggins, both of Marshall; three great-grandsons, Caison Reed, Bryce Cooper and Corben Schmid; brother, Herb Krueger of Manteno, IL; three sisters, Elaine Kunkel of Oak Forest, IL, Darlene Dewar of DeMott, IN and June (Mike) Gallaway of Harriet; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

Funeral services for Jean will be 2:00 PM Sunday, May 10th, 2015 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Ricky Watts and Bro. Phillip Avey officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Saturday, May 9th, 2015 in the Chapel. Burial will be at Rock Creek Cemetery near Harriet. Pallbearers will be Andrew Apple, Alan Watts, Taylor Loggins, John Schmid, Ken Watts and Pat Gallaway. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, Steven Dewar, Jerry Krueger, Don Krueger Jr., Jeffery Krueger, Dan Krueger, Billy Kunkel, Sean Gallaway, Tom Gallaway, Mike Gallaway Jr, Duane Moffitt and Robert Bolen.
