Linda Kaye Ragland, age 64 of Alamogordo, New Mexico, formerly of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Saturday, March 14, 2015 in her home. She was born in Harrison, Arkansas on January 18, 1951 to Garland W. Myrick and Priscilla A. (Crow) Myrick.
Linda had lived the past eleven years in Alamogordo but her roots were in Marshall. She enjoyed talking on the phone to friends and family and listening to the police scanner. Because of this hobby Linda could tell anyone about the happenings in Alamogordo or her hometown of Marshall. She worked as a dispatcher for local law enforcements in several different locations over the years. She was a former 1st responder for the Welcome Home Fire Department. Linda liked to crochet and quilt but her greatest enjoyment came from helping people. Her generous and kind spirit will be remembered by those who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Steve Myrick and Frankie Myrick; and sisters, Ineta Nolting, Alligene Thompson and her twin sister, Brenda Grissom.
Survivors include two sons, Donnie Ragland and wife Jada of Marshall and Carroll Ragland and wife Julie of Alamogordo, NM; grandchildren, Mason Ragland, J.W. Crossland, Joshua Ragland, Ryan Ragland, Austin Horton, Jackson Horton, Alex Smiley, Jaidyn Smiley, Stephanie Ragland, Mackenzie Ragland, Dorothy Ragland and Mikayla Ragland; great grandson, Easton Crossland; one brother, Freddie Myrick of Little Rock; one grandpuppy, Lucy; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends who will also mourn her passing.
Arrangements are by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas.
Funeral services for Linda will be 2:00 PM Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Archey Valley Church and Cemetery near Leslie, Arkansas with Bro. Dean Housley and Bro. Scott Housley officiating. Pallbearers will be Donnie Ragland, Carroll Ragland, Mason Ragland, Bill Crow, Danny Myrick and Hank Orange. Honorary pallbearers will be J.W. Crossland, Robbie Myrick, Brandon Housley and Gary Don Myrick.
I would like to express my sincere condolences to the loss of your loved one.In the scriptures Job 14:14,15 and John 5:28, God promises that he will resurrect our loved ones in the near future .I hope that Jehovah , the God of comfort grant you peace.
