Jewell McClung, age 96 passed from this life on Monday, June 16, 2014 in the comfort and restful environment of her home, located in the Cove area of Marshall, Arkansas. She was born on September 30, 1917 to the late Edward "Ed" Yancey and Nora Alice (Hinkle) Yancey in the Bear Creek area of Marshall, Arkansas.

Jewell married Randolph L. McClung in 1934 at her parent's home on Bear Creek. Randolph passed away on October 13, 1991 at the age of 74. Jewell took great pride and had much pleasure working on their farm, in her home, in the yard, going to church and being with her parents and siblings. She especially loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. Jewell had a great sense of humor and always like to smile and laugh while sitting around the great and delicious meals she cooked.

Jewell was the last survivor of her nine siblings. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Chester of Harrison, Vestor of Wichita, KS, Olaff and Clifford, both of Harrison; five sisters, Lavada Wright of Blackwell, OK, Elnora Steen of Bear Creek, Lessis Morphis of Horseshoe Bend, Ressie Harrell of Harrison and Ollie Mathis (who passed on March 09, 2013 at age 93) of Marshall.

Jewell is survived by her two daughters, Alice Faye Vanecko of Little Rock and Bonnie Louise Goodman of Marshall; seven grandchildren, Randy (Jennifer) Vanecko of Little Rock, Scott (Traci) Vanecko of Benton, Sheri Graham of Redondo Beach, CA, Blake Goodman of Honolulu, HI and Kim Goodman of Denver, CO; eight great grandchildren, Elliana Graham of Redondo Beach, CA, twins, Novell and Norissa Goodman of Honolulu, HI, Braden "Brady" Goodman-Williams of Denver, CO, Cappel, Brenden and Emily Vanecko of Little Rock and Cheyenne Vanecko of Benton; and 25 nieces and nephews, from California to South Carolina. Jewell will always be remembered, loved and cherished by her surviving family.

Funeral services for Jewell will be 2:00 PM Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Roy Ragland officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 PM preceding the service. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Marshall, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Randy Vanecko, Scott Vanecko, James Ragland, Eddie Mathis, Bill Silver and Larry DeRousse.

Bonnie,

Sorry for the loss of your mother. Jewell was always very kind to me. I am very appreciative for all the yard work she allowed me to do when I was teenager. Again, sorry for your loss.
