Lula Jean (Bradford) Smyth, age 85 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on December 13, 2013 at Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born in Shirley, Arkansas on July 28, 1928 to Edgar Bradford and Adell (Hooten) Bradford.
Lula was the fourth of seven children and was raised by very loving parents. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Marshall, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel Clay Smyth; and sisters, Virginia Cantrell and Anna Jane Bradford.
Survivors include her children, Mike Smyth and wife Dianne of Yellville, Keith Smyth and wife Missy of Gassville and Marsha Dillard and husband Roy, also of Yellville; six grandchildren, Jennifer Holmes and husband Zac, Stacy Walton and husband Greg, Cindy Mears, Brad Smyth, Colin Jackson and wife Becca and Tiffany Jackson; two step-grandchildren, Stacy Grillette and husband Huey and Anthony Raimondi and wife Monica; nine great-grandchildren, Levi Holmes, Kyle Holmes, Elizabeth Walton, Sam Walton, Tyler Mears, Wyatt Mears, Heaven Smyth, August Smyth and Gracyn Jackson; three step-great grandchildren, Emily Grillette, T.J. Raimondi and Meagan Raimondi; sister, Mary Watts of Harrison; brothers, George Bradford of Fort Smith, Bob Bradford and wife Sandy, also of Fort Smith and Jack Bradford and wife Mary of Augusta, GA; brother-in-law, Kenneth Smyth and wife Dean of Marshall; and sister-in-law, Kay Smyth of Benton.
Funeral Services for Lula will be 10:00 AM Monday, December 16, 2013 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Rev. Mike Proctor officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Sunday, December 15, 2013 in the Chapel. Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be: Dr. Charles Daniel, James Hendricks, Dr. G.C. Blair, Gary Morgan, Larry Cotton and Jerry Patterson. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Ed Tudor, Rob Morton, Benny Armes, Dorsey Steen and Sid Lowrance.

I'm so sorry to hear of Lula's passing. We shared many good times working at Marshall Elem. I remember her kindness, her laugh and her ability to find some fun in each day. She will be missed.

When I was growing up, Aunt Lula was always kind and understanding of me, even when I wasn't behaving too well. She was one of my favorite people. Her capacity to love, her understanding, and kindness dwell in the heart and soul of each of you. She will always be near you. Bob and I hope that God's strength and love comfort you in your loss. We wish we there with you and your families.
