N. Mayo White, age 69 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at his home. He was born in Terrell, Texas on November 11, 1942 to Newt H. White and Ora (Burnett) White.
Mayo attended the Snowball Baptist Church where he was a deacon. He was ordained as a deacon at Cedar Crest Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA in 1981. Mayo met his wife of over 51 years, Barbara Eddins at a grocery store. He worked for over 40 years as a measurement supervisor at United Gas Pipeline. He retired in 2001 and moved to Marshall, Arkansas. He loved the simple things in life. Church and family were very important to him. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening and he loved his dogs, Barney and Bailee.
Mayo is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Eddins) White of the home; one son, Jonathan N. White and wife Staci of Deberry, TX; two daughters, Darlene D. Taylor of Russellville and Kathy W. Flowers and husband Eddie of Marshall; eight grandchildren, Nathanial Evans, Michael Eubanks, Christopher Evans, Mat Eubanks, Amanda Goebel, Emilee White, Dakota White and Natalin White; four great-grandchildren, Emily Evans, Kaitlyn Evans, Hailey Evans and Jameson Eubanks; one brother, Raymond White and wife Jane of Curtis, MI; and many other friends and family members who will also mourn his passing.
Arrangements are by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas. Graveside services for N. Mayo White will be 10:00 AM Friday, July 20, 2012 at Dongola Cemetery in Marshall with Bro. Andy Treat and Bro. Dorphus Smithson officiating. Music will be by Kim Treat and Nick Reed. There will be no visitation.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Elliot, Johnny Hinchey, Joey Pruitt, Eric Owens, Melvin Graves and Jack Treat.
