Col. from the Army National Guard in 1993; enjoyed bowling, playing golf, watching westerns, playing hymns on the piano, traveling, coaching and watching Marianne play softball.

He was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 63 years Vestal (Cearley) Hatcher; four brothers: Alton
Hatcher of Houston TX, Nathan (Fats) Hatcher of Houston TX, Wilson Hatcher of Houston TX and Milton Hatcher of Houston TX; two sisters; Iva Marie (Tommie) Maxwell of Houston TX and Irene Kirsey of Houston TX, as well as his cousin, Robert Taylor of Corpus Christi TX.

So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4 “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".

I have known two of his daughters (Vicki and Marianne)for about 30 years and therefore I know what a great father and Christian man that Billy Hatcher was. My heart goes out to the family.

My dear Uncle Billy was like a 2nd Dad to me growing up. He was such a patient and kind man. He taught me to bowl and was my Sunday School teacher . Loved spending time with him. He will be missed by all who knew him! My prayer is comfort for the family! I’ll see you again over yonder Uncle Billy! May you rest now. Your niece, Kay
