August 5, 1930 - June 28, 2018

Essie Louise Coleman of Little Rock, Arkansas went home to be with her Lord on June 28, 2018. Louise was born on August 5, 1930 in Parkin, Arkansas to William Swain Leaptrot and Essie Verona Guin Leaptrot. She was born again by God's free grace in 1944. Louise was absent from school only two days and graduated high school at Crawfordsville, Arkansas in 1948. She later graduated from Draughn's Business College in Memphis, TN. Louise married John Duane Coleman on March 20, 1954. Louise was a committed Christian, a faithful wife, and a devoted mother. Louise enjoyed retirement by spending time with family and traveling with her husband. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Hope Coleman, and Steve and Dot Coleman, all of Benton, Arkansas. Visitation and funeral service will be held at Roller-Drummond in Little Rock. Visitation is from 6 PM to 8 PM Sunday July 01. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Monday July 2. So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4 “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".

One is never prepared for the news of the passing of a friend. From the day I met Louise, we bonded together. I heard many a story of 'beagling trips'. And of course I heard stories told with great pride of her 'boys'. Went with her to the hospital when she learned of JD's admission ... we just locked the library and left. She comforted me when my father died and when my mother died. We kept in touch after she retired, met for lunch, and had many long talks on the phone, and she was always the first arrival at my New Year Day's Open House....we planned that so we could visit. Started her on her Christmas china and admired her milk glass collection..My thoughts and prayers are with her 'boys' and their wives who I know now have a big void in their lives. Louise was well loved by everyone and especially me.
