John S. Alford, 27, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017. He was born April 20, 1989 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Joe and Joyce Garner Alford. John taught himself to play the guitar and drums, loved music and dedicated his life to becoming the best musician possible. He was in two bands Appetite for Orange and Space Mother. Everybody loved him. He was kind, generous and had a big heart. He was a graduate of Hendrix College and Parkview High School.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Joe B. Alford and Christine and Earl Garner; aunt Sharon Polonkey; cousins James E. Polonkey and Beth Hoffmeister.
He is survived by his parents; brother Robert Alford of Los Angeles, California; grandmother George Marie Alford; aunt Frances Rolater; cousins Stacey Polonkey, Laura Fegraus, Benjamin Fegraus, Emma Fegraus, Gabriel Johnson and Evie Johnson and many friends who loved him.
The family will host a gathering at a later date for friends and family.
