Larry Shepherd, age 66, of Little Rock, died Monday, February 16, 2015, after a short illness. He was employed by the Bryant School District.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Doris Shepherd; his sister, Charlene Brinton, and his grandson, Max Baxley Shepherd.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara and three sons: Matt and wife, Pam; Tony and wife, Karen; Michael and wife, Hollie. Also surviving him are five grandchildren: Cooper, Zoë, Logan, Mason and Jordyn; his sister, Donna Doggett, and brother, Randy Shepherd and his wife, Robbie, as well as a host of family and friends.
Larry loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was unashamed in his opinion that his grandkids could do no wrong. Second to his family, he loved the Razorbacks and believed it was his duty to teach each grandchild to "Call the Hogs".
The funeral service honoring his life will be Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Benton. The visitation will be Wednesday, February 18, 2015, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209 (501) 455-5800.

Larry was definitely one of a kind. He will be truly missed. He was pretty good at picking those horses too :) Thoughts and prayers to his family.

I was so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. He was a very special person and touched many lives with his friendly smile and caring demeanor. He will be missed by many! My prayers for you all at this very difficult time.
I am a teacher in the Bryant School District. I knew Mr. Larry from working with him several years at Bryant Elementary. He was always there to lend us teachers a helping hand, anything from fixing desks and chairs to catching mice. More importantly, he was an awesome man. Mr. Larry always knew how to make me smile and laugh, and on stressful days that always meant the world to me. I enjoyed hearing stories about his grandchildren. Just a few weeks ago, he came to Hill Farm and we were all so happy to see him. Bryant School District won't be the same without him. He will be greatly missed! Lots of love to his family and friends.

I work at Salem Elementary in the Bryant School System. I enjoyed talking to him during lunch time about the Bryant Hornet Baseball team. My son plays for them and he was very excited about their accomplishments. He will be missed! Sweet man! Praying for you all.
