of Mountain Home, AR
August 29, 1944 - April 8, 2018
Viola McWilliams Mosbey (August 29, 1944-April 8, 2018) left home for the big city, Rockford Illinois in the early 60's. She married and started a family. Viola became a hairdresser, a profession she enjoyed for 54 years. In the early 70's, they moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas. While raising two children, she volunteered with the Brownies, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Twin Lakes/Mountain Home girls' softball.
She was very involved in her community as a charter member of the Northeast Lakeside Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, board member and president of Northeast Public Water Authority, and Eucharistic minister at St. Peter's Catholic Church.
Vi was the happiest when she was outdoors, whether it be gardening (Master Gardener), camping, horseback riding, or boating. She loved road trips, painting, and big family dinners.
She will be best remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, friend, and her most cherished title, Grandma.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Pietz Cancer Support House.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Michele and Mike, we are so very sorry for your loss. Vi was truly a special woman with a giving heart and incredible spirit. We send love, hugs and prayers for all of you at this difficult time.
Always, Bobbi and Jim Brown

To Vi's family, So sad to hear of your loss. We have known Vi for many years. We had many things in common, both having lived in Rockford for several years. We have bought many items from her and Chuck. I think of her every time I pass by her place. There is a place in heaven for her. Go with God. Loretta and Chuck Young

So many memories of my second Mom, Mike and Michele! Loved every minute of working with you both at the store and laundromat in the summer. Though we be miles apart, we always pick up where we left off! She is with Chuck now and no more pain!
Michele, My heart hurts for your loss. I am so thankful that you had the time for road trips and making memories. The strong bond you had with your mother was so special. Remember, don’t try to be strong for everyone. Take some time for yourself and reflect on treasured memories. I am thinking of you and will remember you in prayer during the difficult times that are ahead. Here.. always for you.
