Sammy- Prayers for you and your family. Loved Mr. Izzy! So very sorry for all of you.
My heart was saddened today. I'm so sorry to hear of Izzy's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the Powell family!!
To this precious family and friends,
I'm gonna miss you Izzy Powell!!! You were such a kind and generous soul. I remember coming into your store many times to find things and was greeted with a " sure we'll get that for you" and then one day in 1995, I called your store looking for a job, you only asked during my interview " can you make good brownies?" to which I replied, " I do make killer cinnamon rolls" Izzy replied, "I'll be the judge of that!"
He hired me that day:) I enjoyed working for him and with a wonderful "hardware family"
Some know you had a beautiful singing voice and the biggest heart for the FFA students and faculty! The Baxter County fair will never be the same without you there riding around in that golf cart, smiling at everyone....I'm really going to miss you!!!!
Faith
My prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Izzy was one of a kind. He will be greatly missed.
To all of Izzy's family,
We are so very sorry for your loss. The Rollers and the Powells go way back, many, many years. Izzy and I, of course, spent many years at the Hardware store together, attended buyers markets in Chicago and Stihl chain saw meetings, etc.
The Roller home place, which we refer to as Roller East now, was purchased by my dad, Denzil from Sam. And Anna Lois played the organ for our wedding over 39 years ago. Our families have always been connected. We feel that we are family in many ways.
Izzy was sort of a teddy bear, always ready for a hug (for Dianna, not me). He was an affectionate guy. He will be missed by all those who have been fortunate enough to have known and loved him.
Please accept our condolences. You have our deepest and heartfelt sympathy at this very difficult time.
We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Mike and Dianna Roller
What a wonderful man, who will be truly missed. Thought and prayers go out to the family.
So sorry for your loss. He will be missed.
When visiting our family in Mountain Home every summer growing up, Izzy made me wish that I, too, could have an older brother. His warmth and sense of humor continued to welcome even as the decades passed and the visits became fewer. I can't imagine what it will be like to visit Anna Lois, Sammy, Sharon and the rest of the family without also getting a huge hug and even bigger smile from Izzy. My husband, Tom, who always looked forward to seeing Izzy on our visits, and I are so sorry that we won't be there for the celebration of Izzy's life. There will be so very much to celebrate!
I am so sorry to hear of Izzy’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Reading Rev. 21:3, 4 and John 5:25 have always brought me comfort, and hopefully will do the same for you.
A good friend, good memories.
Our thoughts and prayers for all of the family. Special love to Jeremy and Skotch.
