Donna Jane Bentley

of Mountain Home, AR

September 17, 1951 - May 11, 2017

Donna Bentley, age 65, of Mountain Home passed away on May 11, 2017. She was born on September 17, 1951 in Mountain Home to Don and Mary M. (Britt) Taylor. She graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1969 and shortly thereafter bought her first brand new car, a red 1970 SS Chevelle. She began dating her soon to be husband in 1972 and shortly thereafter they married. The unconditional love between husband and wife never shined as bright as when he became her caregiver during her valiant battle with cancer. Words cannot express how much her family will miss this devoted wife and mother.

A lover of country music, she was Conway Twitty's number one fan and traveled to his concerts whenever possible. Some of her happiest moments were spent with her husband, shopping with her daughter and spending time with her beloved pets throughout her life, which included cats, a chicken, dogs, and horses. A pet never had a more dedicated best friend than her.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of over 44 years, Jimmy Bentley, of Mountain Home; daughter Michelle Harris and husband Steven of Little Rock; her aunt Wanda Smith of Mountain Home; cousin and childhood best friend, Becky Parton of Viola; many other wonderful family members and friends; and two sweet cats, Carmen and Gracie.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, May 16 in Baxter Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas. Arrangements are entrusted to Roller Funeral Home. Visit our guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/mtnhome.

Jimmy Don, Michelle and family I am so sorry for your loss.
Donna and I became friends in grade school and graduated together. She was a good person and a good friend, although we grew apart in later years but I was so glad to get to visit with her again in recent months.

I am praying for you Jimmy Don and the rest of Donna's family. She was a blessing to me . I worked with her when I was 16 years old and learned so many life lessons from her. She was my forever friend. I married on her birthday 33 years ago and loved how she was so devoted to Conway Twitty. She will be missed because no one cared for her friends the way she did. I know now she is at peace no more pain and able to move and talk and laugh just like she did before cancer robbed her of so many things.

Dear Michelle and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Bentley was a sweet lady. I loved her passion for her family and for animals. I also loved her sense of humor - she was so funny! She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Donna and I met when we were teenagers and when she sold her beautiful SS Chevelle mentioned in her obituary, I was fortunate enough to buy it. We were out of contact with each other for many years but recently reconnected on facebook. It was wonderful to be in touch with her again and we enjoyed talking about our mutual love for that red Chevelle and also for our pets. I will miss our chats. Praying for peace and comfort for Donna's family and friends.
