(son in law)
We never met, but she raised some mighty-fine girls.
My wife will forever miss her "mommy".
I worked with Joanne at Freds for 13 years and she was the most caring person you could ever meet. She sent me and my children cards at Christmas every year without fail. I loved her very much and she will be missed greatly !
I had the pleasure of working with Joanne for a little over 2 years at Fred's. We became friends and prayer partners. We had some special times outside of work. She was a very special person and an inspiration. We stayed in touch after I transferred to Cherokee Village and I will miss her, but I'm so thankful that she went to be with our Lord peacefully. My prayers are with the family.
I was so sorry to see Joannes' obituary in the paper today I was taken by surprise because I did not know she was ill! That is so like Joanne not to complain! It must have come on recently and so it is my prayer she did not suffer! My husband and I had just seen and talked to her a short time ago! We knew her from Freds' and from the Grief Support Group! I, myself had known her for 19 years! We shared our losses and were involved in several groups together! We always sent each other birthday cards and Christmas cards! She will be dearly missed! My faith and hers tells us she has gone on to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Farewell , my friend until we meet again "somewhere over the rainbow" beyond the pain and the trials of this earth!
I knew Joanne through her job at Fred's - and her faith was always evident when we visited. I loved her sweet smile and her helpfulness to me and others in the store. She knew me from my work at KTLO - and we talked music and community events. She was a lovely lady who has now gone to her reward with Christ. And, although you will miss her greatly, we can't be too sorry about that - it's what she's waited all her life to do!
