Mrs. Verda V. Baumgartner, age 104, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 10, 2017 at Good Samaritan Society. She was born August 31, 1912 to Charles and Hannah Hofmann in DuBois, Nebraska and grew up in Bern, Kansas. She married Clarence (Bud) Baumgartner on December 12, 1933, and later moved to Lincoln, Nebraska.
Mrs. Baumgartner is survived by two daughters, Corliss Hawkinson and Jane (Dean) Smith, six grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren and a niece, Opal Morton. She is preceded in death by her parents, and seven siblings.
Memorial service will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, March 15, 2017 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Lynne O'Shea officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home. Jane, Dean & Family...So very sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. She lived a long wonderful life but know she will be greatly missed. May she find peace in the arms of the Lord and may you hold her close to your heart with all of your wonderful memories.
