Mrs. Leona Olive Erskine, 94, of Gassville, Arkansas passed away Saturday evening February 25, 2017 in Gassville. She was born May 3, 1922 in Mason City, Iowa to John Leo and Susan (Updike) Rice.

She was a member of the Cotter VFW and was a fan of the Denver Broncos.

Mrs. Erskine is survived by seven daughters: Charleen Marie Erskine of Denver Colorado, Maureen Carol Espinoza of Mora, New Mexico, Kathleen Fay Guin of Elizabeth Arkansas, Leona Lynn McBurney of Denver Colorado, Alice Kay Erskine of Denver Colorado, Colleen Diane Petrelli of Mountain Home Arkansas, Susan Ann Erskine of Fairfield California, five sons; Robert Leo Erskine of Westminster, Colorado, Brian Christopher Erskine of Lakewood, Colorado, Kevin John Erskine of Littleton, Colorado, Patrick Michael Erskine of Las Vegas, Nevada , Edward James Erskine Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, one brother, Richard Rice, and twenty-eight grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward James Erskine, infant son, Joseph, brother, John Rice, sister, Dorothy Coleman and her parents.

So sorry for the loss of your beautiful mother. She will be missed by so many who knew her. She always was welcoming you with a smile and a hug. Now she will be with her loving husband Ed who we still miss also. My condolences to her entire family.

We will miss this special lady!! Number one Bronco fan and always our Easter Bunny! She was always a happy person and brought a lot of joy to us at the Senior Center! I know you are organizing a Bronco Fan Club up there!
