John McDole, Jr., age 83, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016, at home. He was born November 7, 1932 on a houseboat in Manila, Arkansas to John R. and Edna (Reis) McDole.
John was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed sharing Scripture; his favorite portion being Ecclesiastes chapter 7, verse 1. He was a scuba diver who shared this passion with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed gardening.
John is survived by his wife, Shirley of the home, two sons, Mark and David (Jennifer) McDole of Mountain Home, five grandsons, one granddaughter, and twelve great- grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Lelia Boughman and Shirley Davidson. He was preceded in death by his parents, by one son, Paul and by siblings, Jerry, Jimmy and Annie.

Hello Shirley, I just learned of John's passing. Had thought about him several times during the last few days as I have been enjoying his favorite passion of spear fishing for walleye. Our family sends their condolences and I will talk to you soon.

I'm so very sorry for your loss Shirley and Family. John was a wonderful man and I am so greatful to have known both of you and how you took care of us.
