Mrs. Wilma Vern Owen, age 85 of Mountain Home passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 in Mountain Home. She was born June 16, 1930 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Morris Silas and Willie Marie (Sanders) Baggette. She married James Franklin Owen on September 10, 1949 in Star City, Arkansas

Mrs. Owen was a member of First Baptist Church in Mountain Home. God, Family, Democrats and the Razorbacks were her life. She always stood up for what she believed in. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

Mrs. Owen is survived by two sons: Stan Owen and wife Patti of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and Robert ''Bobby'' Owen of Beaverton, Oregon; two daughters: Brenda Owen Riley and husband Danny and Deborah Owen Edmonds and husband Jackie all of Mountain Home, one sister, Jean Baggette of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, three step siblings: Martha Taylor of Star City, Arkansas, Mary Joe Segars of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Charles Baggette of Star City, Arkansas, four half siblings: Halton Zackery of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Dalton Zackery of Star City, Arkansas, Lois Ratteree of Star City, Arkansas, and Laville Montgomery of Searcy, Arkansas, six grandchildren: Tiffani Owen Norton (Scott), Brookelyn Newsome (Nicholas Kuliecza), Joshua Riley, Jacob Riley, Tyler Riley (Bridgette), and Tara Hope Edmonds; and six great grandchildren: Lane Norton, Vivienne Rose Kuliecza, James Franklin Riley, Maci Lyn Norton, Madeliene Rose Kuliecza, and Henry Victor Riley. Also surviving are many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters: Ruby Walker, Sue Golden and Mildred Poss, five brothers; Samuel Baggette, Woodrow Baggette, Cecil Baggette, Mack Baggette and Clint Baggette.

Visitation will be 12:00-9:00PM with family receiving friends for 6:00-8:00PM Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Roller Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Thursday, April, 28, 2016 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Interment will be in Mountain Home Cemetery.
