Eileen J Milburn

of Mountain Home, AR

November 2, 1924 - October 30, 2015

Eileen (Slaughter) Milburn age 90, moved on to be with her creator on October 30, 2015 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born on November 2, 1924 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of a World War I vet, Oscar and his wife Nellie Slaughter. Eileen graduated from West High School and took accounting classes at Franklin University. Over the years she worked as a bookkeeper at several businesses and for the U.S. government while her husband was stationed at Ft. Richardson, Alaska. She was an extraordinary person, excellent salesperson and received many awards while working with Avon for over 21 years. She loved to help people make good decisions related to cosmetics and personal hygiene. Eileen married James Milburn in December of 1963 and enjoyed her life with him which included the opportunity to live in many places. Mom raised three children; sons, Mark, Bill and Sid. She was brought up Lutheran, had a strong belief in our Lord and was a member of the Eastern Star. She was of impeccable character, extremely organized, consistent, and generous and was the glue that held our family together in this crazy world of inconsistencies. For anyone needing advice or problem solving, she was the go-to person and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Eileen is survived by her husband Jim Milburn, sons Sid Milburn of Mountain Home and Bill Hoermle and his wife Stefanie of Moriarty, New Mexico, brothers Norman Slaughter, Jackson, Ohio, Perry Slaughter, Lancaster, Ohio, Grandchildren Emily Eileen Hoermle, Tamara Eileen Cordial and Tad Vermont Cordial, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 1 pm Monday, November 2nd at Roller Funeral Home. Funeral service to follow at 2 pm at Roller. Interment will follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens

My deepest sympathy to you. It is heart-warming to know that we can pour out our feelings to God who promises to comfort our hearts. (2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17) May you find hope and peace through God's promise of resurrection. (John 5:28, 29)
