God Speed Janice - I know your life was not always easy but you are now free from pain - we did have many good chats when you were here for Derek's wedding 3 years ago. I know Joe is missing you tremendously as we all are, you were always kind and always had a good word for everyone. You are at rest now and free from pain. You will be missed.

Dear Sherry, Clay and the family of Janice. When you lose someone that close it tears a hole in your heart. It's an emptiness like no other. The world stops and it takes your breath away. It changes who you are. I did not know your mother well, but I feel like I knew her. You talked about her all the time. So much so that I feel like I knew her closely. I can picture her playing with your fut babies and having long chats with MY mom over how wonderful her children are. We are lucky and blessed to have had them in our lives. The pain will subside and believe it or not, someday you will be able to laugh at the good times and make jokes about the bad. And every so often a song, a bird, even a license plate will tell you that she is still with you and the tears will return but not in the force that you feel them now. I wish for all of you, peace and good memories as you heal from this tragic loss. Love you with all my heart.

I have a half sister, Alison. While I was growing up, Grandma Janice would send me weekly letters. Alison (about 7 ot 8 at the time) would get sad and always wonder why her side of the family didn't send her letters. So I told my Grandma about that. And the next week, a letter came from her, not for me, but for Alison. I will always remember how great that made my sister feel. My grandma loved her family. She also loved her family's family. And friends. And strangers she met along the way. Thinking of this fills me with great sadness, but also joy. I was lucky to have her.

It's hard to say goodbye to a woman who touched your heart so deeply. I remember meeting Janice "mom" as she would tell me to call her, when Sherry and I met in High School. She embraced me and treated me just like I was her own daughter. She always had kind words to say to me and of course always ready with those open arms for hugs. She loved to give out hugs!!!!!!! She will be greatly missed but knowing she is not suffering anymore and is in a better place will help heal the broken heart. Rest in peace mom!!!!!! I love you and will miss you!!!!!!!
Love,
Kathy

The last several years mom has had to deal with alot of health problems. Some times you could hear how bad she felt in her voice. So I would ask her about it and she would downplay whatever was going on with her and immediately turn to concern for what might be bothering you no matter how insignificant.Anybody that has known her probably knows that. What people might not know is a wicked sense of humor she had.I don't mean jokes as in "A man walks onto a bar...." so here's an example of what made my Mom laugh.I was 9 or 10 and found a little harmless Garter snake in the yard.Naturally I took it inside to scare her,and i did.A few days later she's doing dishes and screams out to me so I run in to see her holding her wrist so I could see what appeared to be her hand covered in blood as if she had cut herself from a knife in the dishwater.I started freaking out and she started laughing hard! and telling me she was ok that it was ketchup. It was hilarious and brilliant! I like to think i have a good sense of humor and I think I know where I got it from.
I Love You Mom

I remember visiting Janice at Good Samaritan Hospital. I remember that she had a divine light with her and that light would have met her. And that light will lead her home.

Sherry, do you remember when you were recovering from surgery and your dear mom was taking care of you? She wanted to give us privacy so we could pray together, and ended up locking herself outside on a cold day. How she laughed when we realized what had happened and let her in. That’s what I’ll remember most about Janice—her humor, her absolute devotion to her children, and her enormous, unconditional love. May God hold you and your family so closely in His arms. And may you all know that He will never, ever let you go.

Mom, I read all the memories and what everyone wrote and it warms my heart. I loved when you would say "your my little girl, my little angel" Even at 48yrs old. You would always hug me and kiss me no matter where we were at I loved that. At the end of every phone call you would always tell me you loved me and of course I would say it back. Me and Christina do that with each other and I know we learned that from you. I will never hear those words again from you. I have no recording of you on my machine or phone so I pray you tell me in my dreams. Mom I love you and I will tell you it every day and I will hold onto my memories as tight as I can. Your fur grandchildren love you and miss you too. You were the best grandma to them and every time we talked you would ask how they were and send them their own gifts. I know you have your Leo and Sadie sweatshirt on and I know Leo is with you,Bud, oh Misty too and all the rest of your grand fur children that has passed. Give them all xoxoxox as I know they greeted you with oxoxoxox too. I love and miss you mom. I don't know what I am going to do without you. You are my guardian angel now and I know your watching over me. I will always remember your smile, your kisses, your hugs, your upbeat personality, being caring and giving.happy go lucky attitude and the best mom ever!

I love you
Sherry

Sherry and Clay, my deepest sympathies to you. Sherry, I remember when we used to dance in your living room at the house in Obetz, your mom would join in, I remember when she did a cartwheel in the kitchen. She loved Bob Seger and Peter Frampton and was the HIP/COOL
mom. I know of the pain you are feeling and I hope you and Clay can find comfort within each other. Material things are just that, you will always have your memories. Love You!!

I remember as a child my aunt Janice taking me to the stores in Columbus and all the haunted places she could find. She knew I loved all this stuff so she took her time and showed a kid a good time while visiting. It was always wonderful and exciting to go see aunt Janice and every time I got to see her was exciting and fun. Her kind heart and love of life was contagious. I will always have those memories and they were some of the best in my life. I can't believe she's gone. I can't imagine living life without her smile and her kind loving heart. I love you aunt Janice and always will.

Grandma,

I guess I didn't realize how present you were in my life until 11am yesterday. You don't always think of the memories until those are all you have left. My mom came to check on me yesterday and said "Make sure you're eating." Same thing you would tell me before getting off the phone each time, your way of checking in with me. I looked at my perfume bottle this morning and suddenly remembered when you tried Dr. Pepper for the first time and thought it tasted like perfume (hilarious). Logan and I talked, and even in the few short years he was able to know you, he made great memories. We were always separated by physical distance, but we were never really far from one another. I have every letter, every gift, every hand-written recipe you tried to teach me...and you often said you kept everything too. You will live on through the letters you've written, the lives you've touched, and the positive and loving memories you have given each of us.

Your little darlin'
Christina

Sherry and Greg,
Your mom was such a loving, caring, and beautiful individual. Always with a postive attitude, and never without a smile and a laugh. That is how I will remember her. She always had a huge hug, smile and laugh whenever I saw her. I will never forget the absolutely stunning christening gown she made from your/my wedding dress, Sherry. She was a very strong woman. She will be greatfully missed. I am very sorry I didn't get to see her again. But I know she is smiling down and loving everyone. I know she is in peace. God Bless her. She will be in my prayers, as well as both of you and your family.
