Marlene Rita Morehead, (Miss Mar), age 77, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015, in Mountain Home. She was born September 15, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Walter and Josephine (Maly) Virzant. On May 26, 1956 Marlene married Robert (Bob) Morehead in Chicago.
Marlene and Bob travelled extensively, especially during the years of Bob's military service. They found enjoyment in square-dancing, in which they participated for 30 years. Marlene was a golfer and a member of the Twin Lakes Ladies League. Along with Bob and friends, Marlene also enjoyed boating on Lake Norfork on the craft that was named for her, ''Miss Mar.''
Marlene is survived by her husband, Bob, of the home, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Donald.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2015, at Roller Funeral Home with ______ officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 8:00 PM Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Roller Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Mausoleum of Love in Baxter Memorial Gardens.
