Dear Shirley and family,
In remembering Stan as our neighbor and friend, we fondly recall sharing our first Christmas party with you and other neighbors. You two also joined our first "raking of the leaves" celebration in our new home by sitting around a backyard fire, roasting hot dogs and marsh mellows.

Whenever we saw you two outside, we always waved from our back yard. It was a comfort to see you and to know we were living near nice people.

Sometimes, early in the morning, while Don and I were drinking coffee on our back porch, we would hear the big hoot owl that lives in your woods. Then Don would "blow his fist" to sound like the owl and you would telephone to tease us about "that other owl."

Stan always had a smile and a witty story to tell, which made him the best of neighbors.

We will miss him and we are deeply sorry for your loss.

Our prayers are with you,
Don and Bonnie Brandsgaard
