April 8, 1930 - June 1, 2015

Albert William Tolle, age 85, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Monday, June 1, 2015, in Mountain Home. He was born April 8, 1930, in Galt, Missouri to John Lentz and Mamie Lee (Burress) Tolle.
Mr. Tolle served 22 years in the United States Air Force as a welder serving in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After retiring from the Air Force he embarked on another career with the National Park Service, spending 20+ years in Everglades National Park. During his time there he built & maintained all of the back-country camp sites. Very few people know the back-country of the Everglades as well as he did. After retiring he took on a third career & taught himself wood working. He was extremely skilled & his detailed works were lovingly shared with family, friends & church where they are still treasured. He married Pat Hulsey May 24, 1953, in Moline, Illinois. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Cotter.
Albert Tolle is survived by two sons Jeff Tolle and wife Marianne of Miami, Florida and Curt Tolle and wife Sadina of Kodiak, Alaska, a daughter Kathy McCaddin and husband Bill Hall of Lenexa, Kansas, a sister Jonalee Beard of Columbia, Missouri, two brothers Ron Tolle of Ottumwa, Iowa and Art Tolle of Webster City, Iowa, eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2015, at Wesley United Methodist Church with Dr. Thomas Yoder officiating. A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Entombment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Love.

So sorry to hear. Sam worked with Al in Everglades and Al did know the back country better than most. He and Pat were an important part of our Park Service family.
