Voneva Jane (Cockrum) Sinor was born on April 19, 1931 to William Alvin Cockrum and Tacey (Henderson) Cockrum. She was the eighth of ten children. She married Harold Dean Sinor on May 8, 1950.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Dean Sinor and a daughter, Mickey Delois Sinor, also by her siblings, Gladys Trivett, Marie Roberts, Mildred Cockrum, William Sherman Cockrum, Norman Alvin Cockrum, and an infant girl and an infant boy.
She is survived by her sisters, Eddie Ruth Stone, Jessie Irene Milligan and Joyce Trivett Martin, and also by her five children, Carolyn (Clifford) Hurst, Delbert (Shorty) Sinor, Larry (April) Sinor, Marsha (Zeke) Horn, Marty (Krissy) Sinor, fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Voneva was a member of the Mountain Home Church of Christ, loved gardening, collecting rocks, helping others, music, and her family, but most of all, she loved Jesus and the sacrifice He made for her.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Children's Home, Paragould, Arkansas, Water Wells for Ghana, or Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 14 from Noon to 9 PM with the family present from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, April 15 at 2 PM at College and North Church of Christ with Ken Burton and Wayne Camp officiating.
Marsha and family- our thoughts and prayers will continue for each of you during this difficult time. We know your sweet mama is in the arms of her Savior now and for that we can rejoice. We will continue to be here to love and support you in the days ahead sweet friend. I know your fellow teachers, students as well as us parents love and miss you and can't wait to hug your neck and welcome you back to your school family! Shalom friend.
