Richard William Tonne, Jr., age 83, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015, in Mountain Home. He was born September 30, 1931, in Des Plains, Illinois to Richard Sr. and Ethel (Mummert) Tonne.
Mr. Tonne married Georgianna Moore on December 30, 1956, in Chatham, Illinois. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Air Force and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Mountain Home Elks and the VFW. Mr. Tonne retired from United Air Lines after over 27 years. He enjoyed fishing and dogs, especially Zues and Goldie.
Mr. Tonne is survived by his wife, Georgianna Tonne of the home, one son, Steven Tonne of Fox River Grove, Illinois, one daughter, Stacie Ann McCoy of Cherry Valley, Illinois, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; 2 sister-in-laws: Mary Jo Gill of Apache Junction, Arizona and Irma Kay Weber of Strawberry, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015, at the First Presbyterian Church with Gary Adler, CLP officiating. Interment will be in private. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.

So sorry that Dick is gone. We shared a close childhood friendship, Confirmation Class, High School basketbal and football teams and I wish we'd kept in touch better. My condolence to all his family, who I never had the opportunity to meet..He will always be in my family picture album, even though I am the only one still living who knew him.
