Margarete L. Borchardt

of Mountain Home, AR

December 29, 1932 - February 5, 2015

Margarete (Marge) Louise Borchardt , age 82 passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 in Mountain Home. She was born on December 29, 1932 to Louis and Johanna Fritzke in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She had no brothers or sisters.
Marge was a member of two Red Hat groups for many years and enjoyed the friendship of the ladies. She was a member of The Twin Lakes Welcome Club and served in different positions. But her greatest love was being a member of Tops Club, Inc (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) since 1968 as she served as Leader for over 30 years. She enjoyed the meetings and made many friends over the years.
She had a very special friend, Candy Horton, whom she loved like a daughter. Marge was an advocate for all animals but especially tigers and she and Ron sponsored several for many years at The Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Eureka Springs, AR. She loved her two house cats so much as they gave her great comfort when Ron died. She liked martinis and a favorite dessert, carrot cake. Marge was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and loved to sing, the louder the better, and rarely missed a Sunday church service and singing praises to her Lord.
She is survived by her children, Debra Ann Griesbach (Darrell) of Greenfield, Wisconsin and Sharon Lynn Borchardt of Oshkosh, Wisconsin and her four grandsons, David Griesbach (Heather) of Madison, Wisconsin, Douglas, Daniel and Darren Griesbach, all of Wisconsin. Also three great grandchildren, Arwen and Amara Griesbach of Madison, Wisconsin and James Griesbach of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Funeral services, conducted by Reverend David Kapler will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church . Entombment will follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Honor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Mountain Home, AR or to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, 239 Turpentine Creek Lane, Eureka Springs, AR 72653.

I will miss Marge tremendously as will all in our TOPS AR 131. Marge was a caring person, a good friend to all of us and a great TOPS leader. I will miss her laughter, smile and encouragement.

So sorry for your loss, Marge was a grand lady, She was always so nicely dressed and each month had a joke or two at our "Ladies of the Lake" Red Hat group. She will be missed by those who's lives she touched. May the Good Lord hold you all in his loving arms as he's holding your Dear Mother now.
With sympathy and prayers.

Loved the times spent with Marge each month===Red Hat Cotter Cuties, Twin Lakes Welcome Club Lunchbunch and Couples Dining Out, and Lady Elk's. and shopping trips to Charming Charlies! Marge always looked absolutely perfect-----beautiful clothes and jewelry and always everything perfectly matched. We had a dinner party on 12-27 with our mutual friends at our home,, celebrating her 82 birthday, along with Rod's BD and our wedding anniversary. Lois brought a lovely cake, with Marge and Rod's name on it & Marge wrote a note stating she could hardly remember when she had a BD cake for the last years and how much it meant to her. We will all miss her company so much! A special friend!
