Bill,
It has now been exactly six years since I got the sad phone call from Lana telling me you were gone. What a sad time that was. I immediately thought back to 50 years ago when you and I were riding our bicycles all over Gassville. The population was about 250 people then. We were friends for 50 full years, and I have no complaints. I miss you.

So very sad and also rejoicing on this day, 2017.

Kathy, Stephanie & family, his immediate family, her immediate family and the rest of us lost a beautiful soul on this day, but he is singing in Heaven's choir with awesome voice of love.

I feel very very lucky to have known him while he was here on this earth <3 He touched so many many people in his life and never, ever took credit for any of those good (nay, GREAT) deeds along the way.

Rest in beautiful, sweet peace my friend and classmate, and say hey to Mary, and the rest of our classmates, will you? Love ya,

Pooh

Kathy, Stephanie and the family. I was so sad to hear about Billy's sudden passing. We know that it is but a short time, until we shall all be reunited with those we love, on Heavenly shores. My most heartfelt sympathies and prayers. Billy was a good person. He came to see my Dad, when Dad had to go into the nursing home. And Dad really appreciated it, even though he was hardly able to express himself. As we say in our family, it isn't 'goodbye' - it's 'see you later.'
In Christ's love,

Bill was a wonderful friend to everyone who met him. He loved the Lord and was a witness by the life he lived. I remember him driving from home to Pleasant Hill Friendship Missionary Baptist Church just to mow the yard for us one summer. That was a long way to drive and most would have complained but he loved serving in what ever way he could. We all loved Bill and we don't always understand why he had to go but God knows and we just have to trust him and know Bill is in Heaven because of knowing Jesus as his Lord and Savior and we know Bill would say to all his friends and family if you don't know the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior don't put it off because none of us are promised a tomorrow. Death will come to us all at some time, are you ready?Kathy, we love you so much and are so sad for your loss. You have lots of friends you can call or go see but most of all God will
Help you thru i

Kathy I was saddened to hear about Billy, but know it is a comfort to you and your family to know he was a Christian. I didn't know Billy well since school but the few times I was around him and his post on fb it was clear to me he was a good man. If there is anything I can do for you please let me know. He will be missed by all.

I considered Billy Griffith to be my best friend, and I'm sure many others had that same feeling about Billy because he was the best friend anyone could have. If any of Billy's friends needed help with anything, he would be there to help. And he never expected or wanted anything in return. I believe just being able to help someone was reward enough for Billy. But I have no doubt that eternal life in haven will be the reward for his life on earth.
Billy and I worked together for more than 30 years. And I was his boss for 13 years. As his boss I never expected as much from Billy, as he expected from himself. He always did more than his share of the workload. And he set a great example for others with his work ethic and positive attitude. In his private life he also set a great example for what a Christian man should be.
It was a blessing to have had Billy as part of my life for so many years and his passing leaves me with a feeling of great loss. I'm sure that everyone who knew Billy feels the loss.
I'm praying that God will be with Kathy and all the family and give them the strength to get through this most difficult time.
