Mr. Eugene I. Daye, age 85 of Mountain Home passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at his residence. He was born November 18, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to James Daye and Pauline Udovitch Daye. He married Laura Karris on May 1, 1948 in Chicago.

Mr. Daye was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing and was a charter member of the Norfork Bass Club.

He is survived by a son, Jeffrey(Janice) Daye of Mountain Home; 2 daughters: Maureen (Tom) Daye and Karen Daye, both of Mountain Home. 2 granddaughters: Kristen (Aaron) Steenbergen and Jennifer (Josh) Strode; 5 great grandchildren: Christopher, Sarah, Michelle, Kaitlyn and Ryan; a sister, Dorothy Hellyer of Quincy, Illinois; 2 brothers: Bob Daye of Mountain Home and Johnny Daye of Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Laura Daye in 2007 and son Richard Daye in 2013.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday June 10, 2014 at Roller Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Roller Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens.
