We will miss his sweet smile. He was a very talented carver and always was trying to help anyone who carved to be better at their carving. He was an inspiration to all. His daughter was very good taking care of him, making sure he could still attend the carving meetings. He will be missed.
Yates was a great guy. My family spent several Sunday afternoons with him and Bobbie when they first moved here. My children absolutely adored them. Sending my condolences, Tammy (Branscum) Saling
We purchased his farm in 1995 and knew right away that Yates was special folk. He had a great sense of humor and was always a pleasure to be around. I still find partial wood carvings he made while living on the farm to this day. He will be missed dearly, Godspeed my old friend.
So sorry to hear of your loss. Worked with Yates for many years at GTE.
