Charles Wayne Baugh, of Jonesboro, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House at the age of 85. He was born July 31, 1933 in Jonesboro to William Jennings and Lenita Lumley Baugh. Charles retired from General Electric after 27 years, and was an active member of First Freewill Baptist Church. In his younger years, he served at various churches as a lay speaker and was a Bible Study leader for 15 years at Victory General Baptist Church. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing and bird hunting.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Maralene Craft.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 26 years, Carolyn Whitaker Baugh; a son, Randy Baugh; two daughters, Sandy (Brian) Hanks and Teresa (James) Berry; five grandchildren, Taylor Hanks, Lacey Baugh, Blane Baugh, Michael Gibson and Jaclyn Gibson; five great grandchildren, Keenan Gibson, Javan McGowan, Jolie McGowan, Jaylee McGowan and Jaxson McGowan; and his brother in law, Bud Craft. He is also survived by his wife's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Debbie (Paul) Bean, Beth (R.D) Jackson, Josh (Lindsay) Bean, Zach (Laura) Bean, Tyler Jackson, London and Benton Bean, Barron and Kyson Bean, and Lucian Jackson.
A celebration of his life will be 10 am Wednesday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro with Bro. John Freeman and Bro. Joseph Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Methodist Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
Ronald Wheeless, Josh Bean, Zack Bean, R.D. Jackson, Paul Bean and Blane Baugh will serve as pallbearers. Dr. Scott Dickson, Larry Johnson, Dean Williams, Paul Bean Sr., Joe McQuay, Floyd Inzer, Phil Cook, Lee Burnett, Bro. Kevin Barnett, Bill Miles, Allen Huddle and Freddy Ford will serve as honorary pallbearers.
We are deeply appreciative of the outpouring of love from his church family, friends and coffee drinking buddies. Many thanks to Dr. Scott Dickson for the loving care provided to him as well as the staff of Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House for their kind, compassionate, and attentive care.

Farewell my dearest friend until we meet again. You were loved and will be missed by many people. Make the angels laugh as much as you always did me when we were young.
