Mr. Hilton Cline, 90, of Bono, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018, at his home. He was born April 20, 1928, in Walnut Ridge to Lawson Lee & Alta Ann (Brown) Cline. He had retired from doing backhoe work.
Hilton was a member of the House of Prayer Church. He had been a Mason for over 50 years and was a member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Cline; one son, Ronnie Cline; one grandson, Jim Mayes; his son-in-law, Jefferson Johnson; and three brothers, Garland Cline, Jessie Cline, and Ralph Cline.
He is survived by two daughters, Kay (Robert) Nelson of Arlington, Texas, and Peggy Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren, Shannon Mayes, Dana Beeman, and Rhonda Casalman; five brothers, Preston Cline, Frankie Cline, Marvin Cline, Zeke Cline, and Robbie Cline; two sisters, Coveta Holder and Freda Adams; five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation Monday, September 17, 2018, 5:00-7:00PM at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington, Jonesboro.
Funeral service will be 10:00AM Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home with Robbie Cline officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery at Bono.
Pallbearers will be Danny Gould, Don Henderson, James Gardner, Steve Cline, David Cline, and Richard Cline.
We just heard about Mr. Cline passing. I'm so sorry for your Loss. He was a wonderful man he lived by my mom and Dad on his 40 acres. He was so delightful to talk to. What a wonderful man.
Sorry to hear the passing of Hilton. Thoughts and prayers
So saddened to hear of Hilton leaving us. What a good man and such a joy to be around. He helped us on several occasions as well as some of my friends, with his super backhoe skills and knowledge. It was a delight to hear him tell story's of days gone by. He will be missed by all and I will remember know a good man the rest of my days. Rest in Peace my friend.
