James Robert Ray, 20, of Jonesboro, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018. He was born September 11, 1997 in Jonesboro. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and loved gaming, being with his friends and riding his motorcycle.
James was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Survivors include his mother, Gloria Annette Perdue; his father, Anthony Robert Ray; fiance, Linda Thompson; a daughter, Mckenzi Faith Annette Ray; three brothers, Brian Ray, Terry (Adrianne) Veal, and Bradley Veal; a sister, Cheryl (Matt) Kilgore.
Graveside services will be 10 am Saturday at Herman Cemetery in Bono.
Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 pm at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro.
Damyon McGarrh, Christopher Oliver, Marquis Puckett, Spencer Rawlins, Christopher Isom, Brandon Hays, and Richard Rayevskiy will serve as pallbearers. Joe Davidson will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Most sincere condolences for the tragic loss of James.
Death is and enemy that can fill us with pain and sorrow. please know that there is comfort in God's promise to reunite us with our loved ones, never having to say goodbye again. Jesus is going to make this earth the problem-free paradise that his Father intended it to be. The Bible at Revelation 21:4 says: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." ; John 5:28, 29: "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice " and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, ...." may these scriptures be of comfort now and in the future.
