Herbert "Toot" Rudder, Jr., 92, of Jonesboro, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center. He was born May 21, 1926 in Stevenson, Alabama to Herbert and Inez Rudder, Sr. Mr. Rudder was a member of Prospect Missionary Baptist Church. He was retired from Ferrell Gas Company and he was in the Navy during World War II.

Preceding him in death are his parents; two sisters, Betty Timmons and Geneva Noland.

Survivors include his wife, Angie Rudder; a son, Gary (Carolyn) Rudder; and a granddaughter, Ashlea (Brett) Lowery.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 3, 2:00pm, at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home with Joel McMasters, Rick Jensen and Floyd Kabe officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Lomer Turney, David Wilson, Shannon Dicus, George Miller, Jerry Heckman and Brad Heckman. Honorary bearers include Bob Wiseman, G.W. Edgar, Gary Smith, Kevin McMasters and Fellowship Sunday School Class. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery.

Visitation precedes the service Tuesday at the funeral home from 1:00pm-2:00pm.

To my uncle Toot , I know you are at peace now . For you are Gods Angel. God needed a special Angel and he seen your pain . My Heart broke when I got the call . You were always so so nice & sweet to me and so many people . I remember the times I got to come and visit and stay fir a while . I always had so much fun . I know you are with nanny & daddy Herbert Neener, & momma now . And I know you all are singing & hugging . But hear i know it says don’t weep for me for I am free . And you will watch over us as if you were hear . I Loved you so very much and should have been to see you more . I love you with all my heart . And hear on earth we will always have you in our hearts . Uncle Toit I love you and will always have you in my heart . It was not a dat that went by I didn’t thank if you and aunt Angie . I am so lucky to of had you as my uncle . And my OCD I get from you . I will always have . I will be talking to you as I do all my loved ones in Heaven .
