April 24, 1935 - March 4, 2018

Mary Magdalene Minton, 82, of Jonesboro, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Randolph County Nursing Center in Pocahontas. Mrs. Minton was born April 24, 1935, in Bay to Emmett & Florence (Widner) Armstrong. She was married to Raymond L. Minton for over 37 years.

Mrs. Minton had owned restaurants, including Minton Restaurant in downtown Jonesboro. She enjoyed bingo, word search, and crafts.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, William ''Buck'' Bobbitt; a grandson, Terry Brown; two sisters, Hazel Walker and Margaret Carter; and two brothers, Raymond Armstrong and Les Armstrong.

She is survived by her son, Jim (Cheryl) Bobbitt; her daughter, Judy Gail (Joe) Brown; three brothers, Wayne Armstrong, Butch Armstrong, both of Jonesboro, and Dale (Martha) Armstrong, of Annieville, AR; six grandchildren, Andi Bandy-Smith, Paul Bobbitt, Lisa Bobbitt, Michael Bobbitt, Lonny Spangler, and Kyle Spangler; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Tuesday evening, March 6, at 6:00pm, at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue, Jonesboro. There will be a visitation 4:30-6:00pm prior to the service. There will be a private burial at a later date.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Randolph County Nursing Center, and a special caregiver, LaToya.
