August 18, 1941 - September 5, 2017

William Edgar (Bill) Gallion, of Jonesboro, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the age of 76. He was born August 18, 1941 in Jonesboro to W.E. and Ola Mae (Dawson) Gallion. Bill was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He worked as a well driller for many years. He loved airplanes, church activities, woodworking, and most of all, his family.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jim Gallion.

Bill leaves behind his sweetie of 54 years, Donna (Gibson) Gallion; two sons and their wives, Mark and Rita Gallion of Jonesboro, and Eddie and Shannon Gallion of Haymarket, VA; two grandchildren, Jon Gallion and Elizabeth Gallion, also of Haymarket; a sister and her husband, Ruth Ann and Tommy Herndon of Jonesboro; and very special friends, Tony and Joyce Files of Jonesboro.

Chapel services will be 11 am Friday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro with Wynndel King and Tommy Herndon officiating. Interment will follow at Gibson Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10 am until time of service.

The men of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, please consider either the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church or the Gibson/Bishop Cemetery, in care of Margaret Moody, 254 CR 106, Jonesboro, AR 72404.

Donna, you and Mr. Bill are such precious godly people, and it was always a joy anytime we got to sit visit with you. Yall were truly a God send over 10 years when we needed a place to put Noble , I don't even recall how we met, but I am so thankful that we found you and Mr Bill, and the time you let us have chickens, that was fun. Mr. Bill was one of a kind, I admired him much, and thought of him like family. I know how much your going to miss him, but I know your faith is strong, and God's Grace is even stronger! I am here always to help you in anyway I am able to help you, Love and Prayers Rita
