Donald Wayne Gibson, 63, of Jonesboro died Friday, December 30, 2016, at St. Bernard's Hospital. He was born December 27, 1953, at Jonesboro, to Jimmie Gibson and Johnnie Jordan Gibson Lammers.

Donald had been a farmer at Cash, and was a member of Cash Baptist Church. He enjoyed planting a garden.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Gibson; one son, Kevin Gibson; one grandson, Logan Gibson; and his brother, Page Gibson.

He is survived by his mother, Johnnie Gibson Lammers, of Jonesboro; one daughter, Mallory (Derrick) Bennett, of Jonesboro; one brother, Kim Gibson, of Cash; his sister-in-law, Ina Gibson, of Jonesboro; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 2, at 12:00noon at Cash Baptist Church, with Ken Winningham officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00am-12:00 at the church. Burial will follow at Cash Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Derrick Bennett, Robert Pate, Aaron Reeves, Alvaro Davila Gonzalez, Terry Ellis, and Henry Troxler. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, Bobby Wortham, and Charles Best.
