Mary E. Walker

of Mountain Home, AR

August 27, 1927 - May 25, 2015

Mary Walker, 87, of Mountain Home passed away Monday, May 25 at Hospice of the Ozarks . She was born in Lunsford, August 27, 1927, along with her twin brother, Robert. She was one of ten children. Robert passed away before his first birthday. The Qualls' were a farming family, the kids all helped in the fields picking cotton. After her father's passing, Mary went to work to help support the family.

She later moved to San Francisco where she met and married Walter Walker. They had three kids, Jean, Roland (Skip) and Robert. In 1959 they started Graphic Reproduction, which grew to become one of the largest reprographics companies in the US.

In the early 1980's Walt and Mary divorced. Her and the kids took their savings and started a similar business. Walker Reprographics grew quickly. Mary remained Walker's Chairman of the Board until it sold to the largest national repro company in 2000.

After the sale, Mary and daughter Jean retired to Lakeview, AR. In 2008, Jean passed unexpectedly. Mary continued to live in the home till transitioning to Good Samaritan of Mountain Home where she lived until her passing. During this time, her son Robert passed.

Mary was baptized a Southern Baptist and attended church regularly. She loved her kids, her grandkids and great grandkids. She instilled in the kids the basic values she grew up with; tell the truth, be nice to others, love your family, work hard, play hard, don't take yourself too seriously and to laugh often and loudly.

She is survived by a son, Roland ''Skip'' Walker; grandchildren Jill Wilkins, Nicholas Walker and Mary Walker; great-grandchildren Sandra Evangelista, Mathew Wilkins, Willow Wilkins and Camilo Aris Panagioti Gonzalez; and sisters Grace Eades and Jean Hudspeth.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, May 30 at Roller-Farmers Union Chapel with Brother David Poe officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Hospice of the Ozarks, your local hospice organization or the Alzheimer's Association.

Dear Skip:
I am so sorry to hear of Mary's passing. I worked with Mary
Mary, Jean, Robert and Bea at Walker Reprographics in the 90's. I found her to be an amazing woman. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
