Marlyn Faye Wood, 84, of Jonesboro, passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Mrs. Wood was born September 19, 1930 in Parkin to Ollie and Johnnie Crook. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and she enjoyed gardening and fishing. Faye also substituted at Annie Camp for several years.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Gerald Wood; her parents; two sisters, Mary Ella Clark and Audrey Crook; three brothers, Tommy Crook, Charles Crook and Ollie Crook.

Survivors include, two sons, Ollie Wood of Mammoth Springs and Kenneth (Leslie) Wood of Jonesboro; one daughter, Melinda (Jerry) Akins of Horseshoe Lake; six grandchildren, Allison (Jeff) Pederson, Emily Ferguson, Staci (Roy) Coleman, Jerry Ray Akins, Kirby (Levi) Thornton, and Clayton Mays; seven great grandchildren, Anna Allen,, Andrew Pederson, Natalie Pederson, Kailey Ferguson, Maggie Ferguson, Molly Coleman and Ally Coleman.

Visitation is from 1:00pm to 2:00pm Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home with the service immediately following at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery.
