Charles Ray Davis, age 71, of Hardy passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012. He was born December 16, 1940 at Needham, AR to Sam and Connie Davis. Charles was a retired U.S. Army Sergeant First Class.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sue Davis; a daughter, Glenda Johnson and a sister, Patricia Orr.
Survivors include three sons, Don Davis of IN, George Davis of FL, and Charles ''Charlie'' Davis of Hardy; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; six sisters, Inez Hayes and Sue Sharp of Brookland, Cathy Anderson of Cherokee Village, Kay Gamble, Doris Jean Davis and Mary Loucks all of Jonesboro; and three brothers, Tommy Davis of Jonesboro, Jimmy Davis of Brookland and James Davis of Harrisburg.
Visitation will be 5:30 to 8 pm Wednesday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Thursday at the funeral home chapel with Danny Elrod officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with military honors.
