John William ''Slick'' Slaughter, Sr., 76, went to be with the Lord April 19, 2017. He was born in England, Arkansas September 26th, 1940 to John Liburn and Rosie Mae Slaughter.
John worked for the U. S. Marshall Service. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved his family, doing body shop work, fishing and hunting. He served as a Mason in the England Chapter.
John was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and one grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Linda Prickett Slaughter one son: John William Slaughter, Jr. (Crystal); one daughter: Dianna Sims (James R.) all of England; two step-children; four grandchildren: Blaine Sims, Ivan Slaughter, Owen Slaughter and Ella Claire Slaughter; one sister: Katherine Hughes of Coy, Arkansas and his nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family and his dog: Tag.
Services for John are being handled by Roller England Funeral Home (501) 842-3939 on Saturday, April 22nd, 2017 at Landmark Baptist Church, 501 Stuttgart Hwy., England, Arkansas at 2:00 P.M. Visitation be one hour prior to the service at 1:00 P. M. also at the church. Bro. David Inzer will be officiating. Burial will follow at Mulberry Cememtery in England.
