Edward Nathan Morris

of England, AR

July 24, 1927 - June 29, 2015

Edward (Pinky) Nathan Morris, Sr., 87, of Keo, passed away June 29 in England, AR. He was born in Keo on July 24, 1927.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Everett Morris and Aurelia Letzkus Zermatten Morris Venable, and sisters Katherine Haines, Dorothy Capps, and Flo Morris.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Norma Jean Morris; sister, Mary Cardwell; and children Mollie (Wendell) Chapman, Judy (Brooks) Minton, Fran (Joey) Adams, Eddie (Janet) Morris, and Tony (Yvonne) Morris; fourteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Edward Morris worked and lived all of his eighty-seven years in Keo. After marrying his love, Norma Jean, Edward worked his mother, Aurelia's land for nearly ten years, and then purchased his own farm and built a home for his family.

Edward's love of nature and land included more than just cotton, soybeans, and rice. He had notable ventures in land leveling and tree planting. He also raised hydroponic tomatoes and flowers, and was a beekeeper and honey producer. He lived by the Farmer's Almanac and followed the weather trends faithfully.

He was also a cabinetmaker and master tinkerer. He loved pulling jokes and crafting new puzzles and games for his family and friends. He spent many hours in his shop building and fixing things. Most of all, Edward loved being around his family and friends. He always had time to visit and share a cup of coffee or glass of iced tea. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Services will be Wednesday, July 1st, 2015 at 11:00 A. M. at Roller England Funeral Home Chapel (501) 842-3939. Burial will follow at Keo Cemetery in Keo, Arkansas. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 10:00 A. M.

Sorry for your loss. Mike tells me about visiting with him. They both loved bees. He sounds a lot like my dad. Kenneth Grisham. The genuine thing. .

So sorry to hear Pinky has passed. I always liked delivering and picking up pecans and enjoyed our visits. Seems he always had tomatoes or nuts to share and his pups were always fun. Prayers for you all. Brenda
