Chuck and Nancy didn't know your dad or mom much, but I know they had to have been very special people to have raised a son and daughter as you. So sorry for your loss.
Mr. Overton was a very Nice and A Gentleman thru & thru. I will miss seeing him coming into the England Revenue Office; He would brighten your day with his politeness.
Nancy and Chuck and families,
I am so sorry that I could not be there today for the services. I thought about you all though.
Just cherish your memories and know that he has gone on to bigger and better rewards.
Hoping to see you again some time.
I'm so very grateful for the short time spent with cousin Charles this fall. Celebrating his home-going, while we wait.....
I HAD THE PLEASURE OF WAITING ON MR. OVERTON WHEN HE WOULD COME INTO THE ENGLAND REVENUE OFFICE; HE WAS A GENTLEMAN THRU AND THRU; I WILL MISS
SEEING HIM. PRAYERS OF COMFORT FOR THE FAMILY.
To the kindness man I have ever known. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word from his heart.
He and Mrs. Overton were the perfect team. I remember Their 50th anniversary . The times when I helped them put up their Christmas tree. And how much
They loved each other and the rest of us that came into their lives and they into mine.
They may be gone but they will never be forgotten!
I loved them and always will.
Always, Brenda
Love and prayers to your Family at the loss of your Dad. May God surround all of you with love
during this time.
Nancy -- So sorry to see your daddy passed away. Thinking of you. Boni
"The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage (Ps. 16:6)," and part of that heritage is friendship with Charles and Thelma Overton. I cannot remember a time when the Overtons were not a part of my life.
I am where I am today, in part, because of his willingness to "put up with me" as he led the singing at Altheimer FBC.
Pam and I will pray for you as you sorrow--but that sorrow is "not as others who have no hope."
Granddad will be greatly missed, but we have comfort in knowing he is in a better place now rejoicing with mommo.
So thankful for a sweet visit with Charles in Sept. Rejoicing for him as he hears "Well done, thy good and faithful servant " Praying for your loss. Love you so Judy.
