Mary was born November 5, 1918 in Almyra, Arkansas. She passed away October 12, 2014. She graduated from high school in 1936, continued her education and then taught in Stuttgart area rural schools. She played basketball and tennis in high school and college and continued to stay active outdoors throughout her life.
Mary lived on East Lake, Clarendon, Arkansas before moving to Garland, Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clarendon, and was a faithful supporter of Billy Graham Evangelistic association. She enjoyed listening to the Cornerstone Church services, Pastor Hagee every Sunday.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents William and Beckey Arnett Gingerich, husband Clifford P. Brown, sisters Cleo Atkins, Lora Ray, brother William H. Gingerich, grandson John Milton Hall, son in law Milton Ray Hall and stepdaughter Gail Mannis.
She is survived by brother David Gingerich, sister Shirley Westbrook, daughter Sherry Lynn Miller Hall, son John Emil Miller (Teri), step daughters Mary Carolyn Hovis (Shannon), Judy Hollingshead (Arnold), and stepson Edward Brown (Patty), granddaughters MaryLynne Hall Rosenbloom (Dr Mark Rosenbloom M.D.), Karla Miller Witry (Ben) and step grandson Russell Miller. Mary is also survived by great grand daughters Kyra Hall, Haylee Santos, and Emily Witry, step great grandson Conner Robertson, step granddaughter Dr Linda Sundbye and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be Wednesday, October 15 at 11:00 A. M. at Hamilton Cemetery located south of Carlisle, Arkansas. Bro. Mitch Dulaney will be officiating. Visitation will be 9-10:30 prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Roller-England Funeral Home in England, Arkansas 501-842-3939.
Mom: I am going to miss you so much. I was blessed to have you living with me these last years. I was given the opportunity to share my life with you and am thankful for that. Rest in Peace Mom. Thank you for being my Mom.
